A native Floridian, Audra Crawford has always been inspired by the vibrant and exciting energy Florida has to offer. Audra's work is influenced by that energy, something she often refers to as “good weird.”
Her art involves a playfulness with color, incorporating neon and fluorescent hues into her floral dominant art work. The meaning of Audra's work sometimes develops during the practice of creating. Audra Crawford begins her work with only with the innate urge to create a story on the canvas. Each piece with a beginning ,middle, and end. Often the purpose being in the creation of the piece itself. And that’s cool too. Audra does not believe you have to begin a piece of art work with some deeper meaning behind it. As a self described sun chaser, Audra hopes her work ignites feelings of warmth, brightness, and joy within the viewer and within the space.
